This is a complete Replacement Cap Assembly for both sizes 10L & 20L of Genuine Scepter Military Water Cans.

Important Note: NO REFUNDS if the replacement cap does NOT work for your use/application.

These Genuine Scepter Water Can Replacement Cap Assemblies are THE NEW STYLE CAPS WITH GASKETS that fit both sizes 10L & 20L Genuine Scepter Military Water Cans manufactured by Scepter Canada in 2018 or after. According to Scepter Canada they will not properly fit the older style Water Cans prior to 2018.

We took one of the newer style replacement caps and screwed it onto a older pre 2018 Genuine Scepter Water Can and it seemed to work just fine, there was a slight issue with the locking strap to get it to lock on the Water Can strap locking tab on the can but cap was able to be screwed down tight. We have not tested the older style cans with a newer style cap to verify if it does not leak so at this time this item is sold buyer beware as it may or may not fit/work properly on the older style Water Cans.

Scepter’s MWCs (Military Water Cans) are BPA (Bisphenol A) free. BPA is a key building block organic ingredient in some polycarbonate and other plastic materials, but it is not an ingredient in either HDPE or LDPE, the materials used in our MWCs.

The longevity of a MWC - being plastic - is 15 years and beyond, and during that period there is no risk of plastic leaching into the water. In principle, the water can should be for transport and short term storage. Keeping in mind temperature when storing will have an impact on the longevity of a clean water supply.
